The Wound and Hyperbaric Care Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital provides a comprehensive approach focused on treating acute, chronic, non-healing and complexed wounds, often requiring advanced therapies including Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The department specializes in treating a range of conditions including diabetic foot, arterial and venous ulcers, pressure injuries, traumatic and compromised skin grafts or flaps, surgical wounds, Charcot foot reconstruction, amputation, ostomy care, radiation injuries and other soft tissue and bone infections. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of physicians (podiatry, vascular, plastics and general surgery) nurses and hyperbaric technicians, who work together to ensure a coordinated, high-quality treatment tailored to each patient. The Wound and Hyperbaric Care Institute is accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. The Wound and Hyperbaric Care Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital is a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), which is headquartered in Valhalla, New York and includes hospitals across seven campuses, 60 ambulatory care sites, nearly 13,500 employees and nearly 3,000 attending physicians.
