The Weitzman Laboratory Research program focuses on improving the health and well-being of children, adolescents, and young adults by studying the behavioral, social, and medical factors that influence health outcomes. Led by Elissa R. Weitzman, ScD, MSc, the laboratory uses a multidisciplinary, data-driven approach to address issues such as substance use prevention, adolescent health, chronic disease management, health care transitions, digital health, and health equity. By leveraging advanced technologies, big data, social media research, patient-centered methods, and behavioral science, the lab develops innovative strategies to improve healthcare delivery and promote healthier outcomes for youth. Through collaborative research and a strong emphasis on patient experiences and preferences, the Weitzman Laboratory advances evidence-based solutions that support the long-term health of children, adolescents, and young adults.
