“An Excellent Personalized Physical Therapy”

After fracturing my radius finding the right physical therapist was the key on the road to recovery. I asked a friend (director of 3 Orthopaedic clinics in Long Island & Queens) to recommend someone because the two options I had from the orthopaedic doctor weren't up to pare. Susan Schiliro, PT DPT was recommended and it has been the best experience. Reasons are; a very specific information about your own specific situation explained, guided, review weekly if not few times a week, re-evaluating and adapting to your every needs in regard of your pain levels, ability of movement and customized to your hand as well when you need extra help! I did!:> Beside the very professional approach and a well oiled system, you are welcomed as a person and not a number, you are warmly welcomed and that is sure to put you at ease knowing that the entire staff deeply care about their patients and is there to bring you up to healing positively. Administration and rep for customized equipment is not just following through but go out of its way to bring You the care you really need. Everyone will know you personally and treat you almost like family!;) From the start, Susan explained what happened to my hand and make sure I understood my exercises would go a long way for a better and faster recovery. There's no magic wand though,you need to do your part. But if you're reading this you know you want your hand back and although I don't wish to come back for that, I'll stop by in the future just to say Hi because there is a real genuine team here that cares for you. I actually de-stress when walking in and for the time I spend there. I recommend Susan Schiliro, PT DPT and all her staff highly. My progress and hand recovery speak for themselves.

“Best Hand Therapist Ever!”

Dr. Schiliro and her team are truly exceptional. It took forever for me to find a hand therapist that would accept my insurance and it was worth the wait. From my very first visit Dr. Schiliro treated me warmly and listened to my concerns. The the joints in my thumbs had degenerated pretty much beyond repair and Dr. Schiliro helped put me in touch with a hand surgeon (equally exceptional) who would help restore my thumbs. Dr. Schiliro is a gifted therapist with a warm and caring personality.
I would and will recommend her practice to anyone I come across, who is in need of such services.

“Much better than I thought it would be.”

Unexpectedly pleasant. I thought I'd dread going because of painful manipulations, but that wasn't the case. Dr. Schiliro, Andrea, and Jennifer were very welcoming and kind and explained everything they were doing and why. The instructions for the exercises I had to do at home were written out very clearly.
