I’ve been in practice over 40 years. Most of that time has been in the field of Regenerative Medicine. My core belief is that if somebody has a problem, we should try to fix it, not just use band-aids, like medicines or cortisone shots. Many things can be helped with newer, very powerful, biologic treatments using elements from your own body. I have been doing these over 25 years. Using your own platelets or cells from your bone marrow (StemCell and others), we can help your body do some very powerful repairs that can often fix the problem entirely. It has helped many people avoid surgery for their problem. My great joy is seeing people people who have been active all their life get back to activity after an injury or a disease of ageing.

“my feet have never been better”

Dr. Mayo was able to see the fluid and edema within my feet that I did not know existed. My feet have spread over time due to a problem with my spine that makes my hips uneven, and therefore my feet do not strike the ground properly. This has caused bone movement and bowing, and chronic pain. I have custom orthotics, but have had to use a cane to assist with walking better, and that is the only help I have for reducing pain. Dr. Mayo recommended PRP, and after the first visit, I started feeling better, and have continued treatment to ensure the targeted areas are treated and the swelling and pain reduces.Dr. Mayo was very sensitive to the all of my questions and concerns, especially given that there has not been successful treatments form the doctors I have visited previously.

“Excellent all round service and treatment”

Dr. Mayo Friedlis has been treating me for different joints since 2014. He listens carefully to my questions and answers them. He is careful and precise during treatment. He also is honest when a joint may not be treated due to deterioration or personal health reasons, and may recommend surgery at that point. He treated both my knees with stem cells and they are doing well. He also treated my jaw for TMJ and doing fine. He takes a good look at MRI's before any procedure and will answer any questions you may have. The office staff is so helpful with making appointments, follow-ups and forwarding any additional questions you may have to the doctor. I always recommend Dr. Mayo Friedlis to family, friends and strangers too.

“A life changing process that has be excited to be healed after 10 years of pain”

“I was told that Dr. Friedlis was one of the best regenerative doctors around, and I'm glad I chose an expert like him.”

I seemed to have a much harder time with the plasma rich platlet treatment and Tramadol than most people, which was frustrating and painful. I'm glad that Dr. Friedlis figured out that I was also having disc problems in my neck. With new treatments of epidural lycet and prolotherapy, I feel I'm a better track to relieving my pain and getting back my life.

“I am so happy with my healing 1 month after PRP!”

I was a bit skeptic but I decided to try PRP after I suffered a tendon tear in my foot and after past ankle sprains. I am so happy I tried it! One month after the treatment I have range of motion, less pain and swelling indicative that it is working. And it looks like I won't need surgery. I am very happy and I thank Dr. Friedlis for his care. I am ready to continue more months of healing and following Dr. Friedlis recommendations. I have ULTRA-stringent standards for doctors, having had an extensive medical and scientific background in both undergrad and grad school plus having had fellowships to N.I.H. and Georgetown University School of Medicine among other career background, but I can attest that DR. MAYO FRIEDLIS is topflight. I only wish I had met him many years ago. My conditiion is complex, my having had 2 car crashes where I was smashed into at 50 mph while I was stopped at a red light plus a mover dropped several hundred pounds of furniture on me in addition to a snowboarder having run into me at 25 mph. Starting with the office staff, they are very responsive. The office is well run. I appreciate that I am seen at my appointment time without much delay. “I can't describe how much I trust Dr Friedlis with my back/spine”

I was having back pain to the point it was having an effect on my daily activities. Dr. Friedlis knows his craft and he was able to explain what might be happening and he gave me injections to ease the pain today. I will have some diagnostic testing done so he can review the results. When I got my diagnose of osteoarthritis and tendinitis, I felt desperate. Seeing Dr. Friedlis took my fear away and gave me hope to be able to go back to my active lifestyle, and two months after the stem cell treatment it seems to go well. I feel much better.

“Easy and Quick Appts for Herniated Disc”

I have been for two epidurals so far for a herniated disc. The first time I came in I could barely walk and they saw me right away. I've never waited long to see the doctor which is nice too. Dr. Friedlis said I was a good candidate for surgery but he wanted to try the less invasive method first (epidural) which I appreciated. So far they have helped a lot! Everyone in the offices are very nice (I have been to two locations).

I have had back pain for 4 years going through PT with no change. My issue is S1 disk pushing on L5 nerve. Dr Friedlis and Amanda are very friendly and experienced. I was worried at first but 2 days after my first procedure, I felt 60% improvement in my mobility and pain. The procedure is not painless but Dr. Friedlis is fast and this procedure was the only thing that helped my back pain. Amanda is also very kind and will take care of you amazingly. Dr. Friedlis diagnosed what was wrong with my back and recommended PRP. The first time I had this it lasted nine years. I had it done again last summer and have had no problems with my pack. I would highly recommend Dr. Friedlis and PRP.

“I'm very happy I met with Dr. Freidlis and determined that there was a different optiopn other knee repalcement and that I was a good canidate for the Stem Ce;; procedure.”

Dr. Friedlis was very honest and very professional and very clear on the possibilities and the out come of my right knee prior and after the Stem Cell procedure. He was very clear on what condition my knee was in and medically what the out come might be. During each phase both Dr. Friedlis and Amanda were very clear and explaining each step and very open to answer all types of questions both before and after. I would highly recommend this procedure and this practice to anyone.

“Excellent care, excited to recover.”

I've been a patient of Dr. Friedlis for years, injured my SI Joint and L4/L5 over 10 years ago. He offered PRP early on but there weren't a lot of medical journal articles out at the time, and insurance doesn't cover the expensive price tag, so I declined. Fast forward and now the literature shows that PRP provides quite a bit of help. I completed my first treatment a month ago and am already feeling the benefits. It's the little things: like being able to go down the stairs in the morning and not being in pain. I'm so excited that I finally decided to spend the money, I should have done this sooner. My second treatment is likely going to provide even more benefit. I feel like the luckiest person to have worked with Dr. Friedlis.

Dr. Friedlis understands his patients and how to treat their pain. He works through the process of treatment in order to find the right pain remedy for his patients. He doesn't rush to the more extensive and expensive treatments. He really cares for the patient and how to best treat them.

“Great experience with Dr. Frielis! I Highly recommend him!”

This is my second treatment of PRP and I can say right after the first treatment I felt great relief! I trust I will continue improving with Dr. Friedlis help. My foot tendon tear has improved, helping me walk and go back to my daily activities. I highly recommend him and his clinic if you want to avoid painful surgery which requires long recovery. “Excellent Results --My new knees!”

Dr. Friedlis and his assistant Mykia have been wonderful in every way. I came her originally barely able to walk with a cane and after 4 treatments of Prolo Therapy injections, I am enjoying walking, swimming, and travelling. After 3 sessions, I was able to enjoy Disney World with my grandkids without a cane or wheelchair and even ventured on foot through a winter visit to NYC streets and subways for 3 days on the go there. These results exceed the 6 years of semi annual gel injections because they have rebuilt my cartilage. I am 77 years old and my knees are now feeling decades younger. Thank you!

“PRP works”

I've had neck and upper shoulder pain on and off for years. Dr. Friedlis recommended a variety of options to treat the pain, including PT and PRP. I wanted the most conservative treatment first, so I chose PT. While it alleviated the pain after a few months, it didn't appear to be long-lasting, and I had issues after stopping. I tried PRP because I was tired of the pain and it affecting my life. I noticed a slight decrease in pain after a few days. After 2-3 weeks, I noticed a marked decrease in pain, and it only appeared intermittently after 4-6 weeks -- in effect, it's mostly gone. I've had my second PRP treatment recently and am looking forward to even better results.

“Always incredible results!”

I have been treating chronic back pain for 20+ years. When it gets bad Dr Friedlis is able to provide immediate pain relief that lasts a few weeks or more, allowing me to return to normal function and my daily activities and daily natural pain avoidance strategies (stretching, exercise, etc.). After a back surgery with a different practitioner a few years ago, my pain got worse and Dr. Friedlis has been instrumental in helping me function when the pain gets severe.
