The Sentara Behavioral Health Care Center provides a centralized entry point for patients and providers to access behavioral health services including same day and behavioral urgent care needs.�This will be facilitated by a dedicated call center staffed with patient care navigators who will guide patients (or caregivers and referring medical personnel) to the appropriate behavioral health services. In addition, medication prescribers and social workers will be�available for�patients who request immediate services. At the Sentara Behavioral Health Care Center we help alleviate the inappropriate use of emergency departments for emergent mental health care as well as guide the patient to the right care.
