active clinical style and assist clients in developing a solution-focused action plan. Goals are practical and designed to achieve fast results. I use a variety of clinical approaches and techniques based on an individual 's or couple's specific issues and needs. My practice is primarily with adults of all ages. I have extensive experience working with a wide variety of social and cultural backgrounds. When appropriate, I encourage clients to use therapeutic homework, behavioral practice, support groups, and community resources to enhance their progress. I work with people on a short term, long term, or an intermittent basis depending on their needs. I have been in full time private practice since 1981. I also worked for six years in both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment.
