“Sari Made Me Feel Seen, Heard, and Safe.”
I had the unusual opportunity to compare two pre-op consultations at different practices for the same surgery. As a previous operation went wrong, I explained to both N.Ps that I now have fear and PTSD surrounding surgery.Whereas the first NP was cold and dismissive, Sari listened, asked thoughtful and focused questions, showed genuine compassion, and helped me to advocate for myself with the anesthesiologist. She made me feel heard, respected, and far less afraid.
