“Great Prescribing Psychiatric Nurse”
An appointment with Martha is like having coffee with a friend - not too serious, she's very good at explaining your condition (I have bipolar) and medication options. If she doesn't know something (like the risk of a med during pregnancy) she will look it up immediately. No, she's not a therapist so don't expect advice on your issues, but she is great at listening to your symptoms and prescribing medication which will help, and adjusting until you feel your best. My initial appointment was an hour and a half long - she lets you talk it all out, and subsequent appointments have been 45 mins - you don't ever feel rushed. She also encourages you to email her any time and is prompt in her replies.
