“Such a wonderful doctor with all important qualities required by doctors”
In my over-40 years of life, I have never written my reviews about any doctors I have seen. To some doctors who were very caring and wonderful, I used to write thank-you letters or cards. However the 3 clinic visits to Dr. Paul Han's office led me to writing this review.
In my first visit, I waited about 5 min. The nurse, Ms. Yeon-Hee, greeted me kindly and listened to my symptoms with smile. I felt so welcomed, comfortable and respected. Then I met Dr. Han. He was one of the best doctors, if not the best, I have ever met, in that he patiently listened to all my long stories. I tend to be very detail-oriented in general so I try to be careful not to hurt their feelings by taking too much time. Dr. Han never cut off my words and listened very patiently with smile and dealt with all my questions related to chest tightness or shortness of breath. I met the technician, Gilbert who did the spirometry and methacholine challenge test. He repeated the tests several times for accuracy and was also very patient with my questions.
I am a pharmaceutical clinical trial scientist and thus all my questions were scientific. I felt sorry for those questions in case they were considered presumptuous, which was of course not my intention. But I felt so respected.
After methacholine challenge test on the 2nd visit and exercise test (cardiopulmonary test from bike riding) on the 3rd/last day visit, I felt that I owed them so much for the wonderful care all of them gave me. I feel so lucky to choose Dr. Han among many other pulmonologists available. I studied hospital administration in the graduate school. I feel that he is equipped with all the important qualities that doctors should have!!!
I got so impressed when Dr. Han spared extra time for the exercise test before his work hours began. The front desk scheduler said no opening for the exercise test till the end of June but I'll start a new job on June 27. Dr. Han considered my situation and spared time today on June 15.
Since my review about Dr. Han and this clinic is so good, some of you reading this might wonder if I am related to any of them. I promise that I have never known them until June 8, 2016. The 5-star rating I gave on each of the 8 categories had been seriously thought over and seriously meant. I really mean it.
We live so busy a life. We take for granted some great care we have received from parents or doctors. Whether we paid for the service or whether we got taken care of by parents because we are their kids, we shouldn't take the care for granted. I am writing to share my very positive and happy experience with Dr. Han and his staff with the people looking for a right doctor.
I hope that my breathing issues improve over time but if I need my lungs taken care of again, I'll absolutely choose him with no doubt.
I would like to express my special thanks to Dr. Paul Han and all his staff, Ms. Yeon-Hee, Gilbert, and Suki. I really owe them much about their much time and consideration. In return, I'll pay it forward and try to live healthier for healthier lungs.
