What is Perioperative Surgical Home?
Perioperative Surgical Home (PSH) is a new clinical service that is designed to optimize your medical conditions prior to your surgery. We at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health use our abundant network of clinical and supportive resources for your benefit.
Why do I need the assistance of a PSH?
When you have surgery, your recovery depends on you being in the best possible state of health. The PSH is designed to evaluate you as a whole person (body, mind and spirit) and optimize all your medical conditions, thus decreasing your risk of complications during and after surgery. This may mean additional testing and offices visits prior to your surgery.
