“Appointment made under Fraudulent Reason”
I met with Dr. Cannone one time at his Westerville, Ohio location. That visit was acceptable. He required a follow-up so he could give me a knee injection. A week later his office called and booked me a 9 AM appointment at the New Albany location. I was there at 9 AM, waiting 50 minutes before asking the reception desk when my name would be called. The lady said that they were still waiting on precertification from my insurance to give me the injection. "But why was I given this appointment, then?"
I was taken back to a tiny waiting room where Dr Cannone never appeared. After another 15-minute wait his Executive ..., Jodi Hudkins, entered the room and suggested other options such as meds I cannot take or have proven ineffective. Guess Cannone failed to document vital information about me. Jodi said, "We're still waiting on pre-cert from your insurance, so we can't give you injections."
"I'm in pain."
I left after 1.5 hours of no medical treatment and - later to find out - lies! I phoned my insurance company & the rep said my plan does NOT require pre-cert for this particular knee injection and they'd already answered Cannone's office with this information.
My insurance company also said if the office tries to bill for this useless office visit where I was lied to and never saw Cannone, they'd consider it a fraudulent billing.
So take your chances.
