I've been diagnosed with a skin rash that I deal with periodically. I've experienced other doctors to misdiagnose my condition. “I felt so at ease and could tell Nick all my concerns with my skin”

We removed three tiny places and it did not hurt at all. Ocean Drive dermatology took my insurance for co-pay.
Nick spent time discussing skin care and prevention.
This was extremely beneficial for me, as that I just turned 60 years old, and I am doing all that I can to remove the sun damage to my skin. I am so pleased with the ease of making an appointment and being seen immediately.at Ocean Drive Dermatology.

The procedure is quite uncomfortable, but Nick and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. They also make sure that you have what you need to be comfortable at home...ie, icepacks, rx for prednisone, etc. They emailed me later that evening to check on how I was doing. Expectations were clear and accurate. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional.

“Mastectomy reconstruction”

I had never thought of having any kind of plastic surgery but a breast cancer diagnosis changed that. Dr Durkin was the only plastic surgeon on my insurance - so unless I wanted to bankrupt my family, I did not have a choice and it turned out to be a blessing! From my first meltdown during the initial consultation to my final reconstruction; every experience was better than I could have hoped for.

Dr Durkin was upfront and very clear in what was and was not possible to accomplish with my reconstruction, he also made sure that we understood the difference between breast reconstruction and breast augmentation. I appreciated his candor and common sense approach to medicine. With me having ZERO plastic surgery experience, I chose to trust his expertise and his decisions with what would work best with my body type.

My husband and I are very happy with the results and are very grateful to Dr Durkin and his staff.

“Dr Durkin was there when I needed him most”

I had a fall and a injury to my face that got infected and sent me to the emergency room. Dr Durkin was called to treat me. He was incredible. He immediately calmed me and treated my infection. I have a very small scar that could have been so much worse. He and his staff are very professional and so kind. I can't imagine getting care anywhere else. When my mother needed care for cancer removal I immediately took her to Dr Durkin. He has also removed a small cancer from my shoulder leaving a minimal scar.

I have to say that everything about my visit with Dr. Durkin was perfect. I arrived on time and had no wait time before being escorted back to the room where i would be seen. Each employee i interacted with was kind and very well informed . Dr. Durkin came into the room very vibrant and willing to hear my every question and concern. Not only did he listen to me...he responded wonderfully....letting me know which things made sense to move forward with and which things were still years away. I felt so comfortable that i will be coming back time and time again. Thrilled!

I did a lot of looking around before I decided on Dr. Durkin. He was the only one I scheduled a consult with, and I set my appointment the same day. I was very pleased with everything.
The consult was thorough on their end, but it went a bit more quickly than I expected. Dr. Durkin did ask me if I had any questions, but I forgot to bring any! However, he made me feel very comfortable, and after speaking with him and his staff in later visits, I felt very comfortable with my choice. He has had a good answer for every question I've given him, and he hasn't said anything that would worry me or question his knowledge on the topic. I was so worried about going through surgery and whether I'd be happy with the results, but every single person I came into contact with at Ocean Drive Plastic Surgery was pleasant and made me feel at ease. Only one day post-op and I am thrilled with my results. I can't wait to see how it improves during healing, and I'm very pleased with my choice in location!
