“I had cataract surgery in both eyes and very pleased with Dr. Polack”

Was very nervous to have procedure with my eyes, however the staff at the surgical center were so calming and caring that the entire procedure with Dr. Polack and all staff at ASC. Dr. Polack also calls his patient's the night of procedure to check on you. I would highly recommend Dr. Polack and staff.

“Excellent doctor”

I have had cataracts for years and didn't get the surgery yet due to concerns with my high myopia, which puts Mr in a higher risk group for complications. I'm not kidding when I say I've been to just about every ophthalmologist in Ocala and The Villages trying to find an eye surgeon that feels right; there was always a hesitation. I was nervous to have an eye exam at my age I knew i needed my cataracts addressed but I couldn't stomach the thought of surgery on my eyes. Let me tell you how simple this whole process has been! “Took excellent care and wonderful follow up.”

I had PRK and Lasik performed on my eyes with Dr. Polack. He took excellent care of me.. We had an unexpected issue with my cornea, and I was taken care of from start to finish. NI was always informed of the plan of care, and he always put me at ease. He will sit down and explain and discuss all concerns and even the latest research which will lead you to an informed decision. He was available more than most doctors. PRK and Lasik can be a scary experience at first, but the office takes amazing care to decrease your anxiety during the procedures. Honestly it wasn't as scary as my mind imagined it to be. I will never for forget the kind staff, and the Nurse who held my hand during the procedure. They even have a relaxation room prior to the procedure. Thank you Dr. Polack and all the wonderful nurses at the eye surgery center.

“Could not be happier!”

“Dr. Polack is the Cataract King!”

My life has drastically improved since Dr. Polack removed my cataracts. Having had Radial Keratotomy in 1981 which flattened my cornea to correct vision, I was concerned that this would complicate the cataract surgery. I am elated to say that he got much better results that I could have ever expected. I do not need glasses at all now! .I no longer reach for my glasses on the nightstand when I awake in the morning. This makes me smile!!!

“I can't believe I waited this long!”

I heard other peoples comments about how they always thought lasik was scary and expensive and was a little hesitant at first myself. After finally deciding to do it I can't believe I waited this long! Not scary at all and completely worth the investment. Dr. Polack and the staff at Ocala Eye were extremely clear explaining the procedure and made me feel comfortable during the initial consultation, the procedure itself, and the follow up appointments too. “Cataract Surgery”

I was scared to death of this surgery or any kind of touch on or around my eyes, and DR. Polack was made aware of this. He did inform me that I could not be put completely out as I had to be able to listen to his instructions. There was a lot of pressure being put on my first eye, where he had to make incisions, and the right eye was the worst of the two, my only problem was being able to look for any length of time at the directions he told me to look at, and I would drift off and start wiggling my feet to a beat/song in my head. But, overall, considering he had me to work with, we made out fairly well! And, it is true, the world is a much brighter place, considering this Covid-19 we are dealing with! Thanks Ocala Eye, for helping this old lady out!!!

Ocala Eye was extremely organized and efficient with regard to appointment scheduling, testing and follow up during multiple office visits prior to and following cataract surgery. Dr Polack and staff helped me determine the proper lens to replace my defective lenses based on their tests and evaluation. Dr Polack performed the surgery very quickly with no pain or discomfort, whatsoever. I have complete confidence in Dr Polack and Ocala Eye and would encourage anyone with vision problems to make an appointment and request Dr Peter Polack, if surgery is required. Two weeks have passed since surgery was completed - I have 20 -20 vision with colors and clarity I have NOT had for the past 50 years. I recently drove over 2,500 miles on a trip - (35 hours driving time) - mostly in heavy rain night and day. I did not use corrective lenses, although I wore non-prescription sun glasses during sunny periods. I could not have attempted this trip without the great work of Dr Polack and Ocala Eye.

Dr. Polack was very accurate with his diagnosis of my eyes conditions. His coordination and scheduling of the 2 needed surgery's and required pretest for the surgery while satisfying the insurance carrier's time constraints to avoid any unnecessary out of pocket expense. The surgery was done at the Ocala eye surgery center where another great staff was on hand. both surgeries went like clock work w/the results that were expected. “Dr. Polack may have saved my eye.”

I have researched Ophthalmologist after moving to Ocala. Upon getting myself situated after the move I started researching a few Ophthalmologist around the area. I was not sure of the ones that I went to and did not feel comfortable. However, I had cataract in right eye that was deteriorating rather quickly and got to the point where I could only see shadows and light. Then from my research and talking to someone that is a patient of his I came across Dr. Polack. He is one of the best!
