“Professional, courteous, compassionate, and, most of all, she explained every detail of the procedure and the e recovery process”

Dr. Altschul is an amazing, knowledgeable doctor. My husband had a ruptured brain aneurysm and was rushed to the ER. Due to COVID-19 I had to remain at home by the phone. She called after her evaluation and advised me that he would need surgery to implant coils to stop the bleeding. She explained everything about the procedure which she was about to perform in terms I could understand. As soon as the procedure was done she called to advise me that it was successful and he was alert. Dr. Altschul gave me daily updates and walked me through what she referred to as “the four mountains he needed to climb”. Her calmness and honesty got me through each day. Dr.Altschul is a highly-skilled Neurosurgeon who is very trustworthy and compassionate. She is a true miracle worker and we are forever grateful to her

“The best doctor who is genuine and excellent at what she does”

I was very fortunate to find Dr. Altschul.
She is not only caring and genuine, but also very knowledgeable and is a great surgeon.
She is a very good listener and answered all my questions before and after the surgery (never rushing me or brushing my questions aside) and also at the follow-up visits.
You can really tell that she has the experience and knowledge to be a good surgeon and she really cares about her patients and loves what she does.

“Excellent”

I first must express my appreciation to Lilian Oyola, Dr. Altschul’s assistant. She helped me every step of the way, always in a prompt and professional manner. This was my first virtual appointment and getting everything to her that she needed was a definite challenge for me!
Dr. Altschul was as wonderful as she always is. She calmed me down, discussed the results of my MRA, gave me my options. I did not feel rushed...it was almost as good as being in the office with her. I highly recommend her, she’s the best!
