Summary
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor, I see individuals for anxiety, depression, stress management, PTSD and/or marriage/couples/family counseling. I also see individuals who may abuse substances; alcohol, prescription drugs, marijuana and/or opiates. Research indicates about 35-50% of individuals experiencing mental health symptoms may also abuse alcohol & drugs, and 50-75% of individuals with a addictive disorder may also experience mental health symptoms. Even if you may not have a problem with alcohol/drugs, it helps to have a counselor who understands and can effectively treat both mental health & addictions.
I graduated with a BA from Oberlin College and an MA from UNH. During graduate school, I interned at UNH's Health Services; providing mental health & substance abuse counseling. My training includes Portsmouth Regional Hospital's Behavioral Health Unit, & Community Mental Health; Mental Health & Addictions Counselor, Emergency Services & LADC Supervisor.

Effective counseling utilizes evidence-base protocols; including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy & Motivational Interviewing. I provide LADC Evaluations & DWI Aftercare Counseling. New clients: first appointment within 7 days.
