“Not a happy ending...”
Overall Dr. Moritz seems very competent, but was unable to solve my foot problem. He suggested an MRI, which was very helpful, but when it indicated no surgery was required, he immediately lost interest in my problem. He was recommended to me as an excellent surgeon, but that appears to be all he does, and I cannot say one way or the other because he did no surgery on me. So don't waste you time (or copay dollars) seeing him if you don't need surgery. On the last visit all he did was tell me that I don't need surgery and so there was nothing else he could. He indicated at first there was no charge for the visit, but later sent me the bill. When I questioned the bill I got referred to the billing department by the office staff. When I finally got the office manager to talk with him about it, he changed his story and wanted to be paid, even though no service was rendered beyond what he'd already told me. He was not interested so much in patient satisfaction as getting paid.
