Summary
Hand Therapy offers evaluation and treatment services to injuries of the upper extremities such as repetitive stress injuries, arthritis, neurological conditions, tendon and nerve injuries or repairs, fractures, wounds, scars, trauma, entrapment syndromes, myofascial pain, dislocations, reconstructive hand surgeries, complex regional pain syndrome, sports injuries and amputations. After a detailed Evaluation, the Hand Therapist will develop an individualized treatment plan to help the individual reach their optimal goals.

-Ergonomic education, workstation set-up, equipment recommendations.
-Individualized treatment and home exercise program
-Wound care and scar management
-Edema/swelling control and management
-Modalities to promote healing: Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, paraffin.
-Splinting
-Muscle re-education
-Adaptive equipment, self-care re-training.
-Strengthening
-Myofascial Release Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Deep and Soft Tissue Massage and Muscle Stripping Massage.
