They commonly provide surgical treatment of diseases most commonly associated with the endocrine system (thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, adrenal system), skin and soft tissues (hernias, breasts, trauma, surgical oncology) and gastrointestinal system (stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, appendix, colon, rectum). It’s important to note that all of these surgeons also perform endoscopic screenings and procedures in the GI lab including EGD and colonoscopy.
