Boston Children’s Hospital’s Home Parenteral Nutrition (HPN) Program provides specialized, family-centered care for infants, children, and adolescents who require intravenous nutrition and hydration support at home due to complex intestinal or digestive disorders. One of the leading pediatric home parenteral nutrition programs in the world, our multidisciplinary team includes gastroenterologists, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and intestinal rehabilitation specialists who work together to create individualized care plans tailored to each child’s unique medical and nutritional needs. We care for patients with conditions including short bowel syndrome, intestinal failure, motility disorders, congenital diarrheal diseases, and other rare gastrointestinal conditions using advanced nutrition therapies, innovative IV lipid strategies, and comprehensive home-based support services.
