Summary
Our Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week with access to state-of-the-art medical equipment. Designated as a Level II Trauma Center, our Emergency Department includes a trauma room and cardiac-monitored beds. Our ED staff has also received special training to treat pediatric patients. In addition, we are certified by and adhere to standards set by The American Heart Association for emergency cardiac care. And most of our nurses are certified in Mobile Intensive Care, trained to communicate via radio with paramedics.
Upon arrival to our Emergency Department, every patient is evaluated by one of our trained Triage Registered Nurses. A triage assessment includes chief complaint, vital signs, allergies, medications taken and past medical history. Based on this assessment, patients are assigned a priority level of services.
