Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of WMCHealth, is a 286-bed hospital that provides emergency, medical, surgical, obstetrical/gynecological, and acute care services to the communities of Rockland and southern Orange Counties in New York and northern Bergen County, New Jersey.
In addition to being home to a recognized cardiovascular program, a robotic surgery program and comprehensive cancer treatment services, we have many unique programs to support healing and health. Our accredited Hyperbaric Wound Care Institute is a leader in the field. We are equally proud of the Surgical Weight Loss Institute's Bariatric Surgery Program and cutting-edge robotic surgery program. Our Bloodless Medicine Surgery Program is a unique specialty service that respects our patients' right to avoid blood transfusions due to religious or other personal reasons.
Good Samaritan Hospital was recently designated a Blue Distinction Center for Bariatric Surgery. A Blue Distinction Center is a national designation awarded by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association to hospitals and medical facilities that demonstrate expertise in delivering safe, high-quality, and comprehensive weight-loss surgery care. They were recognized for exceptional quality, clinical expertise, and patient results, such as lower complication rates and fewer readmissions.
