Dr. Michael Furlong is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in bladeless Custom Wavefront LASIK, PRK, Keratoconus (KC) and Cataract surgery with Advanced Lifestyle Lenses. He also treats glaucoma, macular degeneration and other medical eye conditions and diseases.

Dr. Furlong established Furlong Vision Correction in 1998 and has performed more than 35,000 refractive and small-incision Cataract surgeries to date. Furlong Vision Correction employs the highest level of technology available, including the NASA approved combination of the VISX Advanced CustomVue Wavefront-Guided Laser and the IntraLase Femtosecond. Wavefront is a highly customized laser vision correction technique used for all the procedures, that can correct your vision more precisely than ever before by measuring 217 unique points along the optical pathway to determine and ultimately correct both lower- and higher-order aberrations.

Dr. Furlong has received many awards for his outstanding performance in refractive surgery, including being named one of San Jose's "Top Doctors" in San Jose Magazine by his peers and receiving the prestigious Jefferson Award - the "Nobel Prize" for community and public service - for the Furlong Vision Correction charitable Gift of Sight program, which provides LASIK and Keratoconus treatment to qualified and deserving patients.
