“Dr Mayer wasted a lot more than just my time and money.”
I was trying to distance myself from an abusive friend. Dr Mayer saw the friend on the street and found him attractive, so instead of helping me separate, Dr Mayer convinced me that I was in love with the friend, resulting in an extended dysfunctional relationship. When I announced that I was quitting Dr Mayer's practice, he used improper client-retention techniques, including telling me I had a "25% chance of survival". Dr Mayer wasted a lot more than just my time and money.
