• ECU Health Chowan Hospital Outpatient Specialty Clinic - Pediatric Cardiology on the second Friday of each month


• ECU Health Heart & Vascular Care - Roanoke Rapids on the first Friday of each month


• ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital Outpatient Specialty Clinic - Pediatric Cardiology on the third Tuesday of every month

What to expect during your visit

Above all, we are committed to providing personalized, child-friendly care in a nurturing environment. During the initial appointment, your child will most likely undergo an electrocardiogram (EKG) and/or echocardiogram (echo). Both tests are painless and non-invasive, and a Child Life Specialist will be available to help lessen anxiety and stress. These tests, along with an examination and review of your child’s medical history, will help us make a diagnosis and develop a personalized plan for ongoing care.

Camp Wholeheart

Camp Wholeheart provides a positive life experience for children and teenagers ages 7-17 years, with complex heart defects who are from Eastern North Carolina. The camp takes place over a weekend each year in the fall.
