ECU Health Cancer Care - Edgecombe offers a wide array of cancer services beyond what you'd expect in a small town. It is accredited by the American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer and is designated as a Community Cancer Program.
Physician services, infusion therapy, patient navigation, imaging and lab services, nutrition, rehab (including lymphedema therapy), screenings and survivorship and support programs are all available at this dedicated cancer center or next door at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital. And as part of the network of hope called ECU Health Cancer Care, patients who need expanded services such as radiation oncology, clinical trials and genetic counseling have easy access to Greenville or other areas.
An important part of our cancer care mission is creating comfortable healing spaces for cancer patients and their families. The center's decor features an abundance of natural light, soothing color palettes and nature scenes. The infusion area is home to eight spa-like chairs and two private rooms, all strategically placed with views of our beautiful outdoor healing gardens. The image renewal center features items to help patients look and feel their best during and after cancer treatment.
