“Marriage Problems. Stay Away!”
I chose to see Dr. Scuka for marriage help. While during the first few visits, he will push you to buy his book and other "helpful" materials. I personally felt like all our private meetings were generic responses and not very helpful. Upon bringing my wife (now ex), discussions turned one sided, making you feel "why did I do this". Even to the point that Dr. Scuka suggested during our couples sessions, that some marriages weren't meant to be. Being a Christian, I truly had plans to stay in marriage no matter what. To this day, my ex-wife says Dr.Scuka had set up private sessions with her and had a strong influence on her decision to get divorced. As a trained marriage counselor, he failed to help my marriage by inserting this idea that divorce was an option. If you're a religious couple having problems, I strongly recommend to search for a different counselor.
