Coastal Eye Group is South Carolina’s premier group of eye specialists. Since 1974, our doctors have collectively devoted over 280 years to providing medical and
surgical eye care to the Grand Strand and its surrounding area. Our ophthalmologists and optometrists diagnose and treat cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and many other eye diseases and conditions. We offer an array of surgical eye procedures, including advanced cataract surgery, specialty lens implant procedures, retinal laser, glaucoma procedures and LASIK. We have offices in Little River, Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, Georgetown and Lake City, as well as a free-standing eye surgery center in our Georgetown location.

“Great!”

As I'm relatively a new patient Dr. Merritt and her staff are very detailed and thorough. They ask pinpoint questions to us as the patient to gain understanding of our symptoms. Then based on our response they proceed with a very thorough examination and evaluation to determine the proper care. As a senior aged person with the need of professional eye care I'm very satisfied. They exemplify a strong sense of caring for the wellness of me as a patient. That in its self goes a long way. Hats off to all of the team with Dr. Merritt!!!
