“Outstanding from pre surgery to one year later follow up.”

Dr Cahill and staff are outstanding. I would not go anywhere else. The high level of professionalism and skill is unmatched. I have used other Orthopedic physicians before over the years and this was by far the best experience I have had. My Shoulder needed surgery to .repair both my rotator cuff and a torn labrum. Within a short amount of time I had solid mobility with no pain. One year later, I am almost as good as new, thanks to Dr Cahill and his staff.

Had severe pain in my left knee . . . waited and waited for it to go away . . . it didn't. Met Dr. Cahill at our coffee shop and he asked to see MRI . . . turns out, it would not have gone away . . . was very nervous about getting any kind of surgery . . . not nervous anymore . . . knee recovering well . . . I was most fortunate to have a good bunch of people around who could recommend Dr. Cahill and taking their advice was the right decision.

I first met Dr. Cahill in 2004 after I had an accident and broke both knees , ankle and elbow. Almost 20 years later, (Two knee replacements and broken femur among other surgeries) and he continues to be the best orthopedic doctor in the business! He and his staff always have the patients best interest at heart! They are always available to answer any questions or concerns. Their professionalism is unmatched! Add to this Superior Physical Therapy on the next floor which is made up of the finest therapists in the business and you have an amazing array of healthcare providers all at 87 Summit Avenue in Hackensack, NJ! Diagnosed with a torn labrum and rotator cuff, Dr. Cahill explained fully what procedure I would need, why and why it would benefit me in the future. Dr. Cahill and his team are fantastic! I am 51 and wasn't able to walk our dog or go shopping with my teen daughter without excessive pain. I was limping and using a cane to get through my day. Dr. Cahill performed a Mako partial knee replacement. I am now 5 months post operation and I walked our dog for a mile with no pain. I no longer dread food shopping and can now walk the mall with my daughter! I highly recommend having this procedure at Cahill Orthopedics. I'm so glad I didn't wait. “Dr. Cahilll improved my quality of life significantly”

A ski accident injured my hip & back significantly impacting my ability to walk and participate in most activities. Dr. Cahill coordinated with my medical team and, after replacing my right hip, I'm able to walk farther than I have in years; miles.

Electing to proceed with this surgery was something I put off for quite a while. I'm glad to have done it and for the improvement it's contributed to the quality of my life.

Dr. Cahill was tremendously thoughtful, informative and obviously hands on in effecting this improvement. I'd give Dr. Cahill and his staff six out of five stars if I could; you can't underestimate the significance of being given back the ability to do things you cherish.

“Best Experience EVER!!!!!”

We came to see Dr. Cahill after the previous surgeon refused to see me and fix the situation with my knee. We looked and reached out to various surgeons and they all refused to look or even consult with me regarding my case. The minute we came to see Dr. Cahill he listened to my concerns and was willing to take my case on. He gave me hope which was something that I needed. After two botched up surgeries from my previous surgeon. Dr. Cahill performed my third and FINAL surgery and it was a complete success. I have never been more satisfied with a medical provider. His follow ups were thorough and he went over every single detail regarding my follow up care. He always listens to what we have to say and motivates me to push myself further. My previous surgeon condemned me to using a walker for the rest of my life, but Dr. Cahill saved me. Now I am able to bend my knee and walk again. Something I never thought I would be able to do. He is the BEST ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON!!!

“Really amazing recovery from surgery 2 weeks ago”

This new knee replacement with Mako robotic assistance is totally better than a replacement done 13 years ago on the other knee done at HSS I had much less pain and am able to get around much faster and better. I received thorough information about all my options to treat my diagnosis - a fully torn ACL - and I trusted Dr. Cahill's instincts completely. “I had a miniscus repair in my right knee. It was a long recovery process. At times it was a very frustrating process but if you keep pushing yourself you will get back to being healthy soon.”

Dr. Cahil knew my knee problem after I had an MRI. He explained that it would take surgery to repair my miniscus. At first I was unsure and scared about this process because I had never had knee surgery before. But, Dr. Cahil assured me that I would be back stronger than ever after physical therapy. Soon enough, I worked very hard to be back in shape and working out again. I feel like I never injured me knee in the first place. Dr. Cahil had very clear instructions on how long the healing process would take, how often you need to work out/go to physical therapy, and he is honest; he would never give me false hope or lie about the time it would take to return. He was very realistic which was very good.

I first visited Dr. Cahill in the fall of 2017 after a fall at work that left me with knee pain. After completing months of PT and an arthroscopy he performed MACI surgery which has made a big difference in my knee's functionality. Dr. Cahill helped me tremendously from the first day I walked into his office for an initial consult. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a ton of experience furthering my trust of this doctor. He was able to get me into surgery quickly and worked his magic while I was under. Post surgery pain was tolerable and knew immediately that he repaired it effectively. “Truly the very best, in a word, Phenomenal!”

Dr. Cahill is truly the best doctor I have ever had in my life! He has performed countless sugeries for injuries sustained in a work accident. Last July I had severe pain from a torn rotator cuff. The pain was unbearable! Dr. Cahill performed surgery on July 13, 2022 and I was back up and running in under two weeks. I actually drove to Ohio for a wedding in August! I had been attending Superior physical therapy until March 2023. I am now pain free! I haven't felt this good in over 20 years! Dr. Cahill is truly a Godsend!

“Fantastic, great Doctor”

Prior to seeing Dr. Cahill I had 13 knee operations for multiple torn ligaments. I had been in pain for 20+ years on and off. Dr. Cahill performed a right knee total replacement. Best decision I made. First time in 20+ years I'm pain free. Dr. Cahill was spent a lot of time with me explaining proceedure, after operation, during PT and constaint follow-up. Great surgeon. “Got my shoulder back!”

From start to finish, the experience of getting three things done on my right (dominant) shoulder was so worth it. The day of surgery was efficient, non-scary, quick, easy, next thing I knew I was home. The physical therapy went so well. I had range of motion very quickly, and began to get the strength back within two months. It's my second time to be fixed by Dr. Cahill. The left shoulder was four years ago. I'm 63 years old, and very happy to have my shoulders healthy again. I'm working out in a gym with a trainer in order to avoid any more injuries! I highly recommend that people of any age get the surgery they need because living with pain is just unnecessary and depressing. I recommend Dr. Cahill's practice -- all professional and easy, including the physical therapy. Couldn't be happier.

“I had a great experience with this office!”

I had a left knee arthroscopy with Dr. Cahill. I was having pain in my knee cap and tried physical therapy for some time, however, the pain was not subsiding. We decided on moving forward with the knee arthroscopy and it ended up being the best decision for me. The recovery process was not too long, especially since I am still a full time college student with a part time job. I continued with physical therapy for a while after the surgery to gain my strength back. I no longer have any pain in my knee and am able to go back to doing everything I was before. Things like going to the gym, walking my dog, and working all of my hours at work!

“It's like a miracle, I can walk again.”

I had a knee replacement - Robotic assisted Mako Surgery.
It went EXTREMELY WELL!!!
I wasn't sure what to expect and the first 3 days were a bit rough but I could walk day one even up and down the stairs. It was amazing. A true miracle.. Every day it got measurably better. I'm scheduling now to have the other knee done.

“Best All-Around Experience in a Doctor's Office”

I fell and rolled my ankle one night and my GP was pretty sure it was broken. Dr. Cahill's office got me in the next morning and exceeded every expectation I had as a new patient. “Very glad to have replaced my knee.”

Left knee replaced, and i am very happy with the result. Previously I experienced pain when walking and at times even when standing. That pain is gone! The procedure and recovery was difficult but well worth it. You need to be dedicated to PT afterwards. Know what you are getting into, be prepared and you will do well.

“Should have done it sooner...”

A total knee replacement using the MAKO robotic system allowed me to walk without assistance of any kind in seven days, Off pain meds just as quickly. The knee joint pain disappeared and therapy led to residual pain to be reduced significantly. Thanks Dr Cahill for the excellent outcome.

“After having been seen by several doctors, Dr. Cahill was the only surgeon I had total confidence with. His office is also very responsive when you calll.o”

Unlike some other surgeons, I didn't feel pressured to have surgery. He explained what my issues were and after his through description, I felt I was in exceptional hands. Two hip replacements later, Dr. Cahill has changed my life. The surgery was flawless and I am now able to play pickleball, walk daily, exercise, and basically do anything. A very BIG thank you to the doctor and his wonderful staff!

Dr. Cahill fit me in to his schedule the the day of my injury and scheduled my surgery for shortly thereafter. The procedure went well as did the recovery. Many years of pain, I was reluctant to have surgery due to a previous bad experience with another physician. I received a cortizone shot and after that wore off I was left with no recourse. Dr, Cahill presented my options in a manner that left me reassured that surgery was the best choice for my condition. The surgery went well in his eyes and my road to recovery commenced. I am now 5 moths post op, pain free and full range of motion. Dr.Cahill bed side manners are on point and and his staff is second to none.

“I knew I was in good hands!”

Like most people, I was nervous when the word surgery was mentioned. However, Dr. Cahill explained everything, showed test results, talked to me, and I knew I would be in good hands. My shoulder arthroscopy went very well, there was little to no pain, the healing and physical therapy takes some time but in only a few weeks I was able to most daily tasks again.

I had a full thickness tear of a tendon in my left shoulder as well as bicep tendinosis. This led to PT and eventually surgery. I was recommended to Dr Cahill. He was very informative and made me feel confident and comfortable going into surgery. I am 9 months post surgery and my left shoulder feels great with full range of motion. I would highly recommend Dr Cahill for any Orthopedic needs.

Dr. Cahill did a great job at all points of my care. Pre-op, he did a very good job of explaining my injury and walking me through my options. He made sure I trusted him and was comftortable with the plan. During and immediately after my surgery, Dr. Cahill was clear and gave specific advice on what to do (and not to do). Since then, it has been smooth sailing as I have recovered and come in for post-op appts. I will also add that Dr. Cahill and his staff were always very helpful when I called with any questions. “Wonderful! Everything went really well.”

This was a great experience. The doctor explained everything in detail and it all went as he described. He did a great job on the surgery (hip replacement). My surgery wound healed very nicely and I barely have scar. Therapy was great and I can move so much better now and have so much more stability.
If you are in pain or have mobility issues I strongly suggest this surgery by this doctor. Cahill rocks!!

“Excellent care, diagnosis, therapy and recommendations.”

Dr Cahill suggested no surgery for my injury which was a spiral fracture of the humerus with radial nerve damage. Within 6 months my arm and radial nerve damage were healed and fully functioning. We will miss our visits but happy to be totally healed and feeling well thanks to Dr Cahill and his excellent staff.

My experience has been very positive. i was terrified of shoulder surgery but my pain was horrific. I did the surgery and 6 months later, I feel great. Wonderful bedside manners.

“Hip Hip Hooray!”

I had my left hip replaced by Dr. Cahill this past October, Post surgery I had no pain at all, I had my right hip done by a different orthopedist about 7 years ago as I was unfortunately unaware of Dr. Cahill's practice, otherwise then I would have been seen by him. He has one of the best bedside manners that I've experienced. I felt totally at ease with him at all times. If I never need anymore surgeries down the road, there won't be any second guessing where I'll be going. On a scale of 1 to 10, he ranks an 11 in my book!

“Diagnosis and surgery went along great. Office Staff here is amazing.”

I was diagnosed with a rotator cuff tear in late November. Surgery performed in January. Everything went along great. Six months along I'm released for normal activity. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cahill and his staff.

“I felt like i was in trusted hands.”

I came in with severe shoulder pain. I couldn't sleep and the pain was affecting my every day life. I was told i needed a shoulder replacement. Dr. Cahill did a reversal shoulder replacement. I came out of surgery with minimal pain. After 6 weeks I have wonderful range of motion and the pain I was experincing is gone. I can sleep at night and even drive with no pain. Dr Cahill is a ROCK STAR.

I have had 2 total knee replacements with Dr. Cahill and both surgeries and recovery went steller! I was so happy with the first one that I came back for the second one. I literally asked him not to retire until he did my second knee (just in case he was thinking of it). I've had nothing but an incredible experience in my care from Dr. Cahill and his staff.

Dr. Cahill was very thoughtful and thorough before making his recommendation to repair my knee. Before committing to a plan of action he earnestly wanted to understand who I was and what I needed in order to get back to my active lifestyle. Importantly, everyone in Dr. Cahill's orbit with whom I made contact before, during and after the procedure were all empathetic and attentive. Prior hip issues and athlete I was apprehensive on getting hip surgery. Dr.Cahill explained everything in detail but mostly earned my trust from the intial meeting. I would highly refer Dr.Cahill to anyone. First class doctor that will remove any fears you have of surgery.
