“The best patient care ever-She saved my life!!!”
I was feeling very ill and was seen by my doctor twice in 1 week and 1 ER visit. All 3 doctors who evaluated me, told me that I had the flu. My wife knew that something serious was going on with me and it was not the flu. She suggested that I go and be seen by her Nurse practitioner Azucena Ruff for another opinion. My wife called the practice and she told us personally to come in asap for a visit. I was seen that morning by Azucena Ruff who was very thorough with her exam and my medical history. She ordered several CT scans of my chest and stomach and within 20 minutes had already sent me for these tests STAT. While I was at the diagnostic place after having the scans the X-ray doctor told me that the nurse practitioner was on the phone and needed to speak with me. It was her and she relayed to me that I had several clots in my lungs and that she had already called the hospital and they had a team in place waiting to admit me. She was very compassionate and reassured me that I was going to receive ER medical treatment to treat these clots. As soon as I got to the hospital I was whisked into a room and they started giving me the treatment that I needed to save my life. The lung doctor who saw me in the hospital told me that I was extremely lucky and if these clots would have not been diagnosed I would have lost my life. I am a dad and a loving husband and will be eternally grateful to A.Ruff for listening to me and my wife's concerns when she examined me when even my own doctor who I had been a patient for 20 years did not take the time to listen or consider my symptoms. SHE IS A 5 STAR provider who really cares for all of her patients!!! My wife has been a loyal patient of hers for years and she also has seen my children for different illnesses.
