The experience with Dr. O'Conner has been above and beyond that seen in healthcare. She is thorough, takes the time to listen and answer all questions, ensures nothing is left unanswered before completing the appointments. She has a dedicated team of professionals in the office who assist her and cover the needed items. Contacting the office with phone calls are responded to simply and quickly when needed. “I have my life back thanks to Dr. O'Connor”

After suffering from an severe skin allergy caused from chemical exposure in work my uniform for well over a real with no real course of treatment and long list of doctors who could not find the answer for my condition or help me return to work. Dr O Connor took the time to thoroughly research all possible causes of my affliction and was able to find the cause of my condition and develop a treatment plan that was revolutionary and saved my skin, restored my self esteem, confidence, and overall appearance. Not to mention that all the unspoken or unconsidered mental health such as depression that can arise. I received everything I needed including care in a timely fashion from her
staff who showed over the months of care that I received that they were just as invested in my health and rehabilitation as I was. I will return to work in a few weeks and brand new man.

“Best referral I ever had”

My allergist in Asheville, referred me to Dr. O'Connor when I told him I would be moving to Charlotte years ago, and I think it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. In addition to being an excellent clinician, Dr. O'Connor is an excellent listener and is very thorough. She helped me improve my asthma control as well as eliminate my use of daily steroid inhalers, with the most up to date therapies. You cannot go wrong with Dr. O'Connor and Her team at AA &IR

i was hesitant after reading a few poor reviews but i didn't have any of the issues described. when i asked about the complaints the staff said they were aware of them and it came down to unhappy patients due to their bills. i was told they made some changes in their processes and then they ran my benefits before i had testing done and i knew upfront what i would be responsible for. no surprises!

“I Love My Immunologist”

My son and I began seeing Dr. O'Connor years ago when she worked at another office. When I learned she had her own practice, I immediately made appointments. I love Dr. O! I have been under her care for 8+ years and have followed her from her old practice to her current one. I trust her, literally, with my life. I started bringing my granddaughter for her horrible eczema and after one visit her skin is beautiful. She is 9 and has had this condition since she was 3. No one has ever been able to help her. An aside, the million dollar view from the infusion suite doesn't hurt either!

I have seen multiple allergists over the years. Most just wanted to start me on shots after spending 5 minutes with me. Dr. O'Connor and her team spent over 90 minutes gathering my history and reviewing my old medical records. I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and immune deficiency and have now gotten my life back. I take a daily medication and a monthly infusion and feel better than I have felt in over 10 years. I love this practice!

After seeing at least 8-10 physicians, multiple ER visits and hospitalizations, Dr. O'Connor was the only one to diagnose and treat our daughter properly. At AAIR you are treated as a person and not just a chart number. Dr. O'Connor truly cares and her knowledge is unequaled. Her unique approach of treating the whole patient is extremely beneficial with rewarding results. Her level of care and willingness to work through challenges has made a significant difference in my health and life. There have been some staffing concerns in the past but appear to be resolving. Dr. O'Conner is one of a kind. She listens and is thorough. Under her direction I have come to understand genetic food sensitivites that have affected me my whole life. I am also able to eat nuts with confidence after when they were life threatening before. The nutritionist on staff helped me figure out what to eat when all I was hearing was what I couldn't have. When my son has had strange skin reactions and other troubles she is gentle and responsive. Life changing for my whole family!

“Thank You Wouldn't Be Enough”

Often times we as patients are asked to give reviews of the physician we see, the hospitals we attend and the encounters and interactions we have with each. In my case, to say thank you, or "service was good, great, etc." just wouldn't be enough. Dr. O'Connor and her staff have provided me with something that I have not been able to get from many other physicians, and that's unfortunate but a blessing to have Dr. O'Connor. I recently saw her, and actually had an anaphylactic reaction in her office, I had an epi pen on me, but my one wasn't enough, being an allergy office I would expect they would have one, but what I didn't expect and got was personal care and "all hands on deck" attention to me. To the point of me having office staff members India, and Omar, and of course Dr. O'Connor making sure my ability to get to the hospital and have care there was taken care of, and the hospital staff knew I was coming and what to expect of me. I am more than blessed to have this team!

I walked into this office thinking that I would be getting checked for my allergies alone. However, Dr. O'Connor took the time to really dive in and get to the bottom of more than just my allergies! Wonderful Practice!

“Best initial exam in my life!”

Dr David Unkle saw my today and i was so impressed with how knowledgeable and completely through he was! I,ve been getting allergy treatment for 30 years and so impressed with his exam. His ideas and treatment plan are far beyond anything I have experienced. I look forward to being in his care!

“A fresh approach makes a huge difference”

I have been to several Doctors for both Asthma and allergies, and Dr. O has been able to accomplish what none of them could... allergy relief. She was able to also get my Insurance to approve advanced treatments for my Asthma which other Doctors had either not pursued or had given up on. Dr. O has not only helped me to be in better health, but also has simply improved my quality of life.

“The protocol Dr. O'Connor has me on has changed my life.”

Before I started coming to see Dr. O'Connor, I was constantly sick with bronchitis or pneumonia. Thank goodness my primary sent me to see Dr. O'Connor, because he was running our of antibiotics to put me on. Dr. O'Connor started me on immune therapy. It is the immune therapy and xolair that has allowed me to lead a normal life, not getting sick, not having to always be on antibiotics, not in the hospital, and being able to do fun things with my grandchildren.

“my 3yr old eczema crisis”

On a saturday that she was schedule to be off she seen my son who was in an eczema crisis. She brought in one of her nurses to help and they treated him with tip top care. She didnt sugar coat anything she made sure that she was honest about she was gonna go about treating him. I had been trying to find someone that can help for the past 2 in a half years and within the first week he was there i began to see improvement.

My visit was very reasonable. The facility is clean, front desk is professional, and clinical staff is very helpful. This provider was very thorough in assessing and treating my ailments directly, and I had no problem with the follow up service on the second visit. My only complaint is that I did not get a tour of the beautiful office on Elizabeth!

“was referred to Dr. O'Connor by a another allergist in the New Orleans area”

She was highly recommended and when I saw her for the first time she was pleasant and took the time to take my history which is lengthy and somewhat complicated. She did test me for things that I had not been tested for previously and did find some things that I had going on that I never knew about. She suggested Xolair as a possible medication that might help me from getting worse with the asthma. Also, did recommend allergy injections.

“Dr. O'Connor is phenomenal and my most trusted physician!”

As a patient that has an array of rare, complicated, and complex disorders, I have to see quite a few different providers. I am to the point that in some areas I have to travel 6+ hours for decent care in some specialties. Dr. O'Connor is my home town hero and still my favorite and most caring provider. She actually looks at the big picture, vs, some physicians that see you for 15 minutes, slings you some meds, says case closed and see you in 3-6 months. Dr O goes well out of her way always!

Dr. O'Connor is just plain special. Not only did she receive her training from the most prestigious training center in the country, she is also credentialed in integrative medicine. She takes a holistic approach with her patients. If she doesn't know an answer, she will dig until she gets it. She is compassionate with her patients and easy to relate to. Her offices are happy places, with bright decor. She has multiple offices across the city to provide easy access to her pts. 2 Thumbs up!

“Get Monthly Shot”

Experience to get diagnosis was long but end result was relief. Calling to schedule appts couldn't be done with one call. Recent changes with Carol has been huge improvement. Extremely late billing (getting a bill in Sept 2017 for charges in 2015-2016 and 2017) was very frustrating when I even called to inquire in 2016 and 2017. Dr. O'Connor is personable, knowledgable and she has greatly helped in me getting relief. Hate when i have to wait 20-30 minutes to get called back.

After 18 months and 2 other physicians, I came to see Dr. O'Conner. She got my asthma under control when the other docs couldn't. I didn't realize how bad I actually felt until she helped me feel good again. I thank her every time I see her.

The staff is also always pleasant and very accommodating. Not only are they all good at their jobs, they are good people.

“Excellent Doctor”

My experiences with Dr. O'Connor have been very positive. During my first visit my husband called b/c my 14 year old dog had to be taken to the ER. Dr. O'Connor was very understanding despite my repeatedly needing to call the ER and my spouse. She's excellent at explaining her treatment recommendations and always takes plenty of time to answer questions I've had. She also has been very open to asking for and receiving feed back about the staff and facilities and addressing problems or concerns.
