Dr. Bimbela has over 10 years of experience completing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing medications to help people who need pharmacological support.

Dr. Bimbela aims to prescribe and monitor controlled substances to protect individuals from the well known negative effects of addictive medications.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Bimbela provides psychiatric medication management services as part of the Sterling Care Psychiatric Group, Inc. which provides serves to Ventura County. He also provides psychiatric services at a residential detox treatment facililty and holds a position as Adjunct Faculty at Antioch University of Santa Barbara.

His education/clinical experience is diverse and has included providing psychiatric services at various community clinics within the Ventura county. Additionally, as the Chief Mental Health Officer, he provided psychiatric services at three community clinics and had oversight of a counseling training program. Dr. Bimbela also provided psychiatric services at a University Student Health Center and lectured at the UCLA Department of Nursing to nurse practitioners on the topic of mental health.

He also provided behavioral heath services and engaged in research activities in the area of breast cancer at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Bimbela trained in departments that included HIV/Aids Clinic, Pain Management Unit, Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center, and Orthopedic Inpatient Hospital Unit at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. His clinical experience also includes working with families caring for a child diagnosed with Autism.

Dr. Bimbela is a listed author which include several journal publications and research grants across different areas of clinical practice and research.

Psychiatric services are available in both English and Spanish (fluent).

His approach to helping people is guided by the art of listening, belief that people are able to change their circumstances, belief that people can live a life with meaning, and the idea that it is never too late to go after what is important.
