“Very poor practices”
This doctor sells samples of contact lenses that the contact lens companies provide him with. My contact lens prescription was good for one year, it was to expire on Feb. 25, 2014. On January 2, 2014 I went to get a copy of that I went to this eye doctor and received a prescription for contacts. The prescription is good for one year. It was to expire February 25, 2014. I needed to purchase new contacts on January 2, 2014 and asked the doctor to give me a copy of my prescription. He wrote expired all over it, even though it was not to expire until February 25, 2014. It states this on the prescription. He said if I wanted contacts he could sell me some samples for $30, (I was told that it is illegal for him to sell samples of contact lenses that he is provided to by companies), or I would have to have a new exam and pay him $90. for the new exam. I am on a limited budget and can not afford the $90 for a new exam, when my previous prescription is not even expired. He is very greedy and only cares about putting money in his pocket.
