At AdventHealth Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital Orlando, we have built one of the largest comprehensive emergency rooms in the United States designed to maximize quality and efficiency of care. Our 62,000-square-foot facility is capable of treating 90,000 emergency cases a year, including thoracic and general surgery, orthopedics, neurology and neurosurgery, cardiology, pediatrics and internal medicine. Plus, an integrated medical-imaging center reduces the time it takes to perform vital MRI, CT and PET scans. We have highly skilled clinicians and specific ER protocols in place, around the clock, to rapidly treat severe heart attack and stroke symptoms. And, we have built strategic partnerships with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) teams, which allow for life-saving emergency medical treatments to be administered to patients before they even arrive at our emergency room. We're also home to Central Florida's first Code STEMI rapid response program that can actually stop a heart attack in progress. Our dedicated staff and experienced physicians will be there for you when you need us most, 24 hours a day, and get you the emergency room care you need quickly.
