I saw Dr. Ho and he was able to heal a planters wart in two weeks and I had been getting laser treatments for about 18 months for this same toe. I scheduled another appointment and got Dr. Stoler. I was terrified when I went in for my first Mohs surgery with Dr Cohen, because was afraid I would have a terrible scar on my fact. By the time we had clean edges, there was a hole the size of a nickel on my forehead. When Dr Cohen sewed me back together, my eyebrow was raised far above my eye, and I thought I would never look normal again. But things turned out better then I ever imagined. Dr Cohen used super-fine thread which made it so there was barely a line to see, and my eyebrow line relaxed back down after about six months. Now you cannot even tell it was done. Dr Cohen pays great attention to the smallest detail so that he leaves the least amount of evidence that you had surgery. Since that first surgery, I have had two more Mohs surgeries performed by Dr Cohen, and there is no trace of those on my face either Dr Cohen is very kind and gracious, and it brings me great comfort to know that he will always do his very best to leave no trace of my facial surgery. Although it has been a few years since my last Mohs surgery, Dr Cohen is my favorite doctor because of his exceptional talent and gentle bedside manner. I am so glad that I found Dr Cohen!!

Dr Cohen performed my MOHS procedure on a squamous cell area on the side of my nose. He did a very nice job and im very happy with the outcome. What im most grateful for is his instruction that I need to be more proactive than just my yearly checks and using sunblock. He recommended the PDT treatment on my face yearly and to treat my chest also. Id never been told that before by any dermatologist and so now they have become my yearly procedures. Im very grateful to him for this.

My husband was seen by an oncologist who said that his case was just too much for him to handle and referred us to Dr. Ho and Dr. Cohen. Since being seen here and all of the recommended treatments, he is very much improved. From the day he started seeing the doctors to now looks completely different. We have hope that he is healed. I have also seen Dr. Cohen for a Mohs surgery and used to feel a "needle prick" sensation when I touched the spot, but now after it's been removed, I feel nothing.

She said, "I think you should see a dermatologist" After calling my primary care physician for advice, I called "About Skin". I was assigned to Dr. Ho. At first, I found him rather cold. But he answered all my questions, some of which were quite basic. I insisted upon repeating what he had said in order to help me remember. He was quite patient. On a subsequent visit I found him much more congenial and I greatly appreciate his knowledge and professionalism. I highly recommend him.

Dr Stoler has treated me for numerous skin cancers. She has always tried to pick the method of removal that would leave the least amount of scarring and she never fails to follow up to ensure the cancer is completely gone. She has referred me for regular blue light treatments to try to prevent further skin cancer occurrences.

This is my second visit to undergo the "Blue Light" treatment. The first on my face was not painful and I was very satisfied with the results. Today I am having my chest done and I am sure I'll be happy with these results also. I do plan to follow up with Dr. Stohler in a month to see if further treatment is warranted.

Dr Cohen spent a lot of time explaining my upcoming Mohs surgery and showed me pictures so i knew what to expect. He was very thorough and encouraging throughout the entire surgery. He did an excellent job and my scar is barely noticeable. Dr Cohen is exceptional.

Dr. Cohen took his time in rebuilding my nose and talked with me when I had questions throughout the procedure. My basil cancer is gone and no one can tell I had surgery unless I mention it.

I have been a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years and I would recommend him to my friends, family, and patients with out hesitancy based on my positive experience. My initial Mohs procedure was performed in the middle of my face and the incision needed to be a little over an inch long. Of course, this news was very traumatic being concerned about the cosmetic appearance. Dr. Cohen was excellent at explaining the procedure and making me feel comfortable. I was offered laser to reduce the appearance of the scar but not made to feel like I had to or needed to perform laser. Laser is about $200 per session. I found after 6 months that my scar was healing so well, I did not feel I needed it. Both my friends and family really cannot see the scar in the middle of my face with or without make up. I am very thankful that I have the opportunity to be under the care of such a skilled surgeon who also has a heart for his patients. Also, from the receptionist to his assistants, they are very knowledgeable and caring. I hope you never have to experience a Mohs procedure but if you do, I would recommend one of the best.

I had seen another doctor for basal cell carcinoma. The other doctor preformed a "Mohs procedure" on my face. A year later it came back in the same place. They biopsied that site again. For the second time the results were basal cell carcinoma. They did another "Mohs" prodedure. One year later, the 3rd biopsy in the same site came back as basal cell carcinoma. I asked for my medical records, and transferred to Dr. Joel Cohen. He preformed the 3rd Mohs procedure. The area has been clear for 3 years now. I am forever grateful for the care that I receive from Dr. Cohen. He is an expert in skin care, and we are blessed that he is in the Denver area!!!!

I was diagnosed with a melanoma on the left side of my nose earlier this year and was referred to Dr. Cohen by my primary care physician. During my first vist, Dr. Cohen explained what needed to be done in great detail and scheduled the surgery. Two surgery's were required plus a skin graft. It has only been 3 months since my last surgery, and you can barely see that anything was done. If you need a dermatologist, then I highly recommend Dr. Cohen and his staff. My husband was seen by an oncologist who said that his case was just too much for him to handle and referred us to Dr. Ho and Dr. Cohen. Since being seen here and all of the recommended treatments, he is very much improved. From the day he started seeing the doctors to now looks completely different. We have hope that he is healed. I have also seen Dr. Cohen for a Mohs surgery and used to feel a "needle prick" sensation when I touched the spot, but now after it's been removed, I feel nothing.

I had a mole on my face that needed a biopsy. The tech came in to numb it and a few minutes later Dr Ho arrived. I thought he was just looking at the mole but in fact he had removed it without me feeling anything. I hate the idea of knives on my face, but somehow he did his job quickly and painlessly.

I connected with Dr. Ho & About Skin Dermatology in November 2014 after reviewing that year's latest issue of 5280's "Top Docs" Rankings. Upon contacting the office & learning of Dr. Cohen's lengthy wait list, I was referred to Dr. Ho...and what a fortuitous referral! While Dr. Cohen received the "Top Doc" accolade, I have no doubt that Dr. Ho will one day share the honor. As someone experiencing mild but annoying adult hormonal acne (c'mon, I'm 43 & going downhill fast!), I have tried several providers in the Denver Area since relocating here in 2010 but haven't felt completely satisfied with my care. Because my acne is mild, I have felt dismissed & have even been told, "one day you're going to wish you still looked like this." As someone that likes to joke around, I truly appreciate the humor & realize that my skin OCD is sometimes CDO, but I would rather not be dealing with acne - ever - if I can appropriately address it to the best of my ability. My most recent provider told me that he couldn't do anything more for me unless I was willing to take isotretinoin. While I am very open to treatment suggestions, that particular plan of care is of concern for me perrsonally as I have several pre-existing conditions (colitis, severe dry eyes and high LDL levels) that may be exacerbated as a result of starting isotretinoin, so I was really hoping to exhaust all options prior to this regimen. Right away I knew Dr. Ho was different as he spent at least 45 minutes with me during my initial consultation asking very detailed questions about past treatment regimens & getting a better sense of my health history. Since then, I have probably seen him an additional 7 times for pretty minor issues (small nodule cortisone injections & one annual skin check) & he is always very patient & accommodating as I usually have many questions. His staff (Amanda, Mona Rae & Winda/Wynda) also do an excellent job with follow-up (returning medical question calls, facilitating prescription refills & providing available product samples & drug manufacturer savings coupons which are a necessity these days). Will Dr. Ho ask you about your job, pets & what your summer vacation plans? Perhaps not, but if you want to get your skin issues addressed with the most up-to-date options & treatments, he is your go-to-guy!
