“My physician actually explained ...”
My physician actually explained to me why I would want a pancreas along with my kidney transplant. I had heard others say that I was up for both but I never understood why. I kept thinking I didn't need a new pancreas because I didn't know of it being a problem for me. She actually explained that a new pancreas would stop me from being a diabetic most likely. That's why I would actually want a pancreas as well as a kidney. But if the doctors wanted me to be down to a certain way to get the pancreas that even if I didn't by time of getting the kidney I would be able to get the pancreas later. This is all new information for me and greatly appreciated
