“It was just the best experience ...”
It was just the best experience I've ever had with a doctor. I have scars on my arms from self-injury in my teens and twenties and I've had doctors give me a very disapproving look, I even had a nurse at USC when I got my Covid shot (at age 38) absolutely stab my arm with the needle when she saw the scars, my husband saw it too, people seem to have no education about it and think anyone who has ever done it is a delinquent or something, but I'm so far from a delinquent, they just take one look at you and make an assumption based on ignorance. It's just incredibly common and it's frustrating that people in the medical fields aren't educated better about it. Dr Raven was incredibly nice and understanding and just made me feel normal which no doctor has ever done. No person has ever made me feel normal about it before this.
