“Dr. Szumski is an enormous credi...”

Dr. Szumski is an enormous credit to Cedars Sinai. His attentiveness and deep, considered responses to the issues presented are always enlightening. I understand he had originally planned to be a clinical psychologist before switching gears to a career in neurology. When I see him, I felt "heard," as he brings a psychologist's active listening and engagement into the exam room.

“Some physicians become inconveni...”

Some physicians become inconvenienced or defeated by the complexity of health challenges, but Dr. Szumski just becomes more interested and determined. His genuine curiosity and incredible compassion allow him to actively listen, research, and collaborate in ways that produce unique solutions with amazing results. As a chronic illness patient, I've had a lot of negative experiences with the medical system, and getting to work with Dr. Szumski has been profoundly healing -physically and emotionally. I am very grateful.
