The NP interrupted me several times, and was not willing to listen to my full explanations of why my doctor prescribed the medication I am currently on. Instead, she started rattling off reasons why I should not still be taking it. She did not take into account my past medical history with weight loss/gain, including any history of disordered eating. Instead, she asked how much I wanted to weigh, and when I attempted to explain what my previous doctor told me about "set point" with weight, she told me I should do intermittent fasting, as that would "easily get me to 150." The whole appointment was very off-putting, and I felt frustrated that she did not listen to me. Not a great first impression for this office or my potential new PCP. I am looking into switching to a different medical group.
