I felt treated as an adult, with respect and consideration for my feelings as well as my condition as I described it. They were all familiar with my extensive medical history as well as my present problems. I felt safe and comfortable enough to talk with them and listen to their suggestions. Dr. Van Kuiken was very thorough in her assessment of my condition and recommendations for further testing and referrals. After 2 1/2 months of dealing with various medical providers about my condition, I feel that I have finally found a doctor who has the ability to determine the best treatment(s), based on the best available information and tests.

My appointment was on a Friday afternoon. By the time the urodynamic study was done, the provider barely had time to talk to me because the clinic was closing. It felt very rushed and I did not have time to understand or process the information given to me. The diagnosis I was given has long ranging impact on my life and it was shocking to leave without understanding particularly because I live far away so I cannot just go back.
