Dr. Michael Nelson has been our family physician for approximately 30 years. He has more than earned a well-deserved retirement. My wife and I will miss him. He has always been attendant to my health concerns and questions, answering in an informative and never condescending manner. Despite the promotions & responsibilities he took on he was always our interested & involved family doctor. He also created a great culture among his staff.

Dr. Nelson is outstanding! He has been our personal physician for 30 years. At every open enrollment during that time, the first question has been: Will this insurance choice be accepted by Facey, so that we can continue to see Dr. Nelson? If the answer was 'no', that option was off the table. Among many other events that stand out from our time with Dr. Nelson, he found a pre-malignant mole on my back, when it was still very small. The surgeon who removed it said, "Dr. Nelson saved your life!" He found a heart murmur at a physical, and called me directly to let me know he was concerned about it. It turned out that I needed a mitral valve repair; and because Dr. Nelson once again found it early, I was able to go through the tests and line up an excellent surgeon who repaired my heart like new. Dr. Nelson has called us directly with test results or with answers to questions, as early as 6:30 in the morning, and as late as 6:30 in the evening -- he clearly has put in long hours for his patients! Dr. Nelson is to the category of "personal physician" as Shohei Ohtani is to "professional baseball player" -- an incredible find, and (I believe) one-of-a-kind! If I ever had been offered a "magic wand" with the instructions that "you can wave this wand, and have personal access to any physician in the world", I would have laughed and turned it down: We wouldn't have had any use for it; we have already been under the care of the best there is! We are sad in a way that Dr. Nelson is retiring. But he deserves some time for himself and his family, after all the incredible work he has done for others! And the overwhelming feeling for us is of having been wonderfully blessed to have been under the care of such an amazing doctor, for an unbelievable thirty years! We count ourselves as incredibly fortunate to have experienced such extraordinary care from such a wonderful physician. Thank you; and God bless Dr. Nelson and his family!
