Dr. Madhura Joshi Layfield was amazing. She listened - really listened and even though I get nervous and awkward because I am nervous she explained things and made helpful suggestions.all I can say is that I felt heard and that understood so I left feeling very hopeful about her helping me. It's a really good feeling trusting that your doctor is going to help you. I definitely wasn't a number nor did I feel rushed. I don't trust doctors easily but she has my trust!

Dr. Layfield is a very kind, caring, empathetic physician. I did not not feel rushed, and she had much patience with my communication challenges. She suggested further treatments, assistance, and initiated referrals promptly. She communicates/responds quickly through My Health at Vanderbilt, and is very focused on ways to further/improve my quality of life. She is also very honest and straightforward with information/probable outcomes, etc. I very much appreciate her as my Neurologist.
