“Dr Stromberg walked into the off...”
Dr Stromberg walked into the office with an entourage of people and it honestly felt like he was the "celebrity" doctor walking in to show them how it was done. I was already so nervous and frustrated at having to wait literal months for an appointment regarding my acute onset of vocal dysfunction (which has greatly affected my daily quality of life). He didn't ask me questions about my vocal history. He didn't ask why this was a concern. He just said all the standard things without taking my personal history and concern into account. After scoping my vocal cords and confirming no growths or cancers, he gave me a basic treatment plan that didn't make much sense to me. He also told me in the office that he recommended I use my voice during this time to help keep it lubricated, but in my printed notes it says that he recommended vocal rest, which he did not. Nor did he provide any explanation of what vocal rest would look like, what I should do, etc if that were the case. I did not feel that his bedside manner was pleasant or patient-focused, and I hope to find another doctor for a second opinion because I am really upset by what's happening to me.
