“Generally I really like my docto...”
Generally I really like my doctor. She listens to me, expresses concern well, and explains things in a way that gives me the details at the right level. However, she recommended getting an ultrasound in a follow up appointment without making sure I knew that it was an internal ultrasound. I've never been sexually active and do not have much experience with internal exams, so I would've expected to have been explicitly told if an Internal exam was recommended. I only realized what it was when I saw the option to schedule the exam on MyChart and looked up what it was. I would've appreciated being warned by my doctor so that I could prepare myself. If I hadn't looked it up, I would've been blindsided on the day of, and it would've been a very uncomfortable experience.
