“The office experience with Dr. P...”
The office experience with Dr. Poole was good. She listened to my concern about a potential sinus infection, including the fact that I had just taken one round of antibiotics and was still experiencing sinus pain. She left the room to consider what antibiotic treatment she wanted to pursue, and came back with levaquin as the prescribed treatment. When I went to the pharmacy and read the risks, I became concerned. I messaged the office and got a very kind response from the nurse. However, the doctor's response to me was not helpful. She told me that she would not be willing to prescribe a different class of antibiotic, that the one she prescribed was the best, and that was that. I also had shared that my grandmother had a bad reaction to the same antibiotic. I felt that the doctor's response was patronizing, telling me that every medication carries a risk. I had been considering her to become my PCP, and I regret I will need to keep searching for one and I would not recommend her to any of my friends or family.
