“The doctor was very nice, made m...”
The doctor was very nice, made me feel comfortable. But the pain of the procedure was extremely uncomfortable, this is the 4th IUD I've had placed and never before has the pain been as bad as it was. Ive had pain and cramping but never like this. I laid their hugging myself trying to get through it. It came to a point I almost told the doctor to stop. She tried to be as gentle as possible, continued to ask if I was ok but knew that I was in pain. Their should be some kind of at less local antiseptic for IUD replacement. She had to dilate my cervix multiple times just to get it in. There's no reason someone should have to deal with that amount of discomfort to protect themselves from having children.
