“We felt so welcomed and cared fo...”
We felt so welcomed and cared for. My son had his birthday the day before our visit, and as we were walked to our room, the nurse wished him happy birthday. Then in the room, the assistant in training wished him happy birthday. It didn't end there; then the doctor and student doctor wished him happy birthday. Our visit just got better from there. Our doctor was absolutely the best doctor we've ever experienced. He was so thorough, compassionate, and well-spoken. We left with answers and a new direction to two specialists that would be able to further evaluate my son. He even personally reached out to the GI doctor. We had a call to schedule an appointment within a half hour of leaving the doctor's office. I started the day afraid that I would encounter an apathetic and arrogant doctor. However, I left feeling uplifted, hopeful, and that we were more than a number. Thank you, Children's Wisconsin.
