“Dr. Fataneh (Fae) Majlessipour c...”
Dr. Fataneh (Fae) Majlessipour completely discounted my concerns around my daughter's iron deficiency issues that were exacerbating her sleep disorder and PLMD. She treated my complex disabled child with a diagnosed sleep disorder with specific ferritin level guidelines as a general patient and didn't consider the guidelines more suitable to her condition. She also was unwilling to listen to me as a parent or the symptoms I reported, only looking at the lab test results and not the full clinical picture. She was quite rude to me. When I reviewed her clinician note, she completely omitted any mention of the sleep disorder and PLMD requiring higher ferritin targets and also reference that I wanted to give an iron infusion knowing it could harm my child. No, I wanted to look for additional ways of improving her iron levels to decrease the seizures and sleep issues driving the seizures that we are currently dealing with. There is both urgency and aggressive treatment warranted that she was unwilling to adequately address. We will be seeking a second opinion for care as I believe she's out of her depth with my complex child, and unwilling to admit it.
