“Really appreciated the friendlin...”
Really appreciated the friendliness of the provider who asked personal questions about school and new enough about patient's school program to ask more probing (friendly) questions to establish rapport. It's important for people to realize that on a first time visit to a new specialty, adolescents often do not know what to expect or that they SHOULD ask QUESTIONS. As a parent, I feel I have to model this behavior so adolescents learn to take agency of their lives (although difficult when you don't know what you don't know). I very much appreciate the consulting the provider gave to my daughter and the level of detail into the "process" of the recommended treatment. TY
