“An amazing nurse and a great person”
I have known Nurse Eric for about two years at Detroit central city mental health clinic on Peterboro street in Midtown.
He will always help you, and if he can't, he will direct you to the person or resource that can. He has taught me a lot about my mental and physical health, and he even helped me quit smoking! I have learned so much from him and he might as well be a therapist too! He has also helped me with things like helping me apply for insurance, type up documents, help me proofread papers for college...things that are totally not what a nurse usually does, but he will help in any way if time allows!
Eric is a very friendly guy and you can tell he cares for the patients he serves. He has visited my home when I was unable to get to the clinic, he has called me to remind me of appointments, called to check on me after a surgery, and has been available after his work day to talk on the phone when I need it. I called him at 1:00 AM once because I had the urge to use drugs really bad and he talked to me for about an hour and helped me realize that it was a bad idea and then gave me some tips on how to fall asleep because my insomnia was bad that night. I hope he sees this!
