“When the doctor entered the room...”

When the doctor entered the room, he was immediately interrupted by a nurse regarding another patient. The doctor stepped out for several minutes before returning. Upon his return, the doctor appeared rushed and somewhat preoccupied. Although he was courteous and knowledgeable in his field, I felt that he did not fully focus on me as a patient. At one point, while I was answering a question, he pulled out his phone and began reading something on it, which made me feel overlooked, invisible, and unimportant as a patient during the consultation. He didn't say "excuse me" or indicate that he needed to check his phone; he simply started reading while I was talking. Seeing that he was not paying attention, I stopped speaking. He continued to read something on his phone for about 3-4 minutes. Even after putting the phone back in his pocket, he never apologized for his distraction.
